  • Sebastian Lennox

    Sebastian@wholeyoungmusician.org

    Founder and Director

After beginning on the violin at the local YMCA when he was five years old, Sebastian transitioned to the viola a few years later. In 8th grade, Sebastian began attending the Juilliard Preparatory Division in New York City, first as a viola major and more recently, as a Composition major. After experiencing the financial demands inherent in advancing as a musician, he realized the broader need to reach lower income, underrepresented student musicians, and help connect them with tools, resources, and mentors for their musical success.

"We’ve all gotten better at helping with the beginnings, but we haven’t recognized the gulf that’s swelling between being able to start and being able to dream. My dream has always been to play music. It’s bigger now and includes Whole Young Musician’s dream."
